Q&A with our Vice President of specialty markets, Ryan Svehla.

Q: How long have you been with Grand Brands?

A:   I was one of the earliest members of Grand Brands.  Once David Schleider, founder and president completed development of True Lemon and began production, I was brought on board to focus on pioneering True Lemon® into the Office Refreshment Service channel.

Q:When you first started, did you have any idea True Lemon® would be this popular?

A: I knew that True Lemon® was an amazing product that filled a huge void in the marketplace.  However, I am a little surprised by the overwhelming amount of consumer loyalty and level of enthusiasm from our customers. It’s exciting to finally see everything come together.

Q:What does being Vice President of Specialty Markets entail?

A: I am one of those lucky people who really loves what he does. I am responsible for all aspects of our foodservice, office refreshment service and specialty retail stores business channels. On a day-to-day basis, I oversee sales, distribution, promotions, incentives, and trade shows for all these business segments. I also coordinate our marketing efforts with Heidi Carney, our Vice President of Consumer Marketing and Customer Relations. In addition to these responsibilities, I manage our newly formed partnership with Sugar Foods Corporation.  Sugar Foods handles our direct distribution into Foodservice and Office Refreshment Service.

Q:What makes True Lemon® so great to have in offices and/or cafeterias?
