True Citrus Donates to Florida Crisis
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, JACKSONVILLE - Food and beverage company True Citrus (formerly Grand Brands, LLC.), maker and distributor of True Lemon, donated 420 cases (5,040 boxes) of True Lemon to the American Red Cross to aid in the Hurricane Frances and Hurricane Ivan relief effort. The donation went to the L.S.S. Second Harvest Food Bank, an affiliate of the American Red Cross. Upon arrival, the product was distributed to local agencies upon request.
The L.S.S. Second Harvest Food Bank has been a partner in providing food, water and ice to the areas most affected by the hurricanes. "We distributed 150 cases of True Lemon to the Fort Pierce Food Bank, which was hit by Hurricane Frances, and it was much appreciated by all that received it," stated Gary Porter, of the Second Harvest Food Bank. "After Hurricane Ivan hit the Pensacola Florida area, we again shipped food, water and ice to this area along with 150 cases of True Lemon and was again much appreciated."
David Schleider, president and founder of True Lemon saw the donation as a good fit. "We believe it's important for everyone to come together in times of need and do what you can to help. We were told that the drinking water might not taste as fresh as people are used to, so we thought providing True Lemon would be helpful."
