JULY 2005
Welcome to July's edition of "The Main
Squeeze!" We hope you all had a safe and fun 4th of July
weekend!
We have received a
tremendous amount of responses for sponsorships of group charity runs,
walk-a-thons, biking events, etc. The first group that we sponsored
was a group of three women who participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day
walk in Boston, MA. Read about this event in this month's
newsletter!
Remember, if you will be participating in a group charity run,
walk-a-thon or biking event, Grand Brands would be happy to consider
sponsoring your group! We'll supply True Lemon™ t-shirts, wedge heads, a
supply of True Lemon™ and will make a donation to the event's charity.

CAROLYN DILLON
We love hearing about the lives of our customers, and our Super Fan
Carolyn Dillon’s life story is one of perseverance, faith, determination
and family.
Orphaned
at a young age, Carolyn, the youngest of seven, was raised by her great
aunt. “Even though things were tough, I have always had a great
faith in God and I always paid attention to people who could teach me
things I needed to know. I was also blessed to have some people in my life
who believed in me and encouraged me to always do my
best.”

 TRUE LEMON™
SUPER FAN
GENEVIEVE MILITO
We are often
amazed at how our customers are using True Lemon™, but we were truly moved
when we heard from Marina Milito who wrote to us about her daughter,
Genevieve. Once we read Marina and Genevieve’s story, we knew we had our
next Super Fan.
"True Lemon™ is a gift for
children with feeding disabilities. My beautiful 6-year-old daughter
Genevieve has profound Cerebral Palsy (C.P.). In addition to having C.P.,
my wonderful daughter is also cortically blind as well as legally blind.
While that sounds horrific on paper, spending time with Genevieve
and accepting her for the little person that she is, can bring you into a
world of peace and unconditional love – she is truly one of Heaven’s
angels."

BOSTON
BREAST CANCER 3-DAY

Read all about Carol and her
team who walked in the Boston Breast Cancer 3-Day on July 8, 9 and
10.
"The Boston Breast Cancer
3-Day, a 60-mile trek through two states is sponsored by the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
As a team, we raised nearly
$9,000; our largest single donation from the makers of True Lemon™!
In total, the Boston walk raised a whopping 3.5 million dollars – all of
it used by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National
Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund to support research, education,
screening, treatment and prevention of breast cancer. Their mission is to
eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. That’s one
good reason to walk."

 JULY'S
MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: If I noticed a packet
is caking or getting more granular, is it safe to
use?
A:
Absolutely. Because we do not include
any anti-caking agents or preservatives, True
Lemon™ is more
susceptible to temperature, pressure and moisture and may sometimes
get a little clumpy. However, this does not affect the taste
or freshness of the product. Just shake the packets a bit
before opening or stir more vigorously.
Just a
reminder: It is important to keep True Lemon™ in a cool, dry
place, where there is not a lot of humidity. Grand Brands
provides 100% satisfaction guarantee for every box of True
Lemon™. If you have a question about a packet, please feel
free to give us a call at 1-866-885-3666.
Q: When I put a packet of True
Lemon™ into my soda, it starts to fizz. Why is this
happening?
A: The bubbles
form as a result of a reaction that takes place when the addition of
citric acid in solid form (such as found in True
Lemon™) is dissolved in a carbonated soft drink.
(Cola is the worst.) The reaction occurs where gases are
released (carbonation).
With that being said, it is not a significant issue if you
pour a cola into a glass because the escaping gas does not get
bottlenecked forming reverse pressure, which is what causes the
spillover effect. If you prefer to keep your cola in the can,
just add True Lemon™ a little bit at a time, so it won't fizz a lot
and spill over. |

HOW DO
YOU USE TRUE LEMON™?
“I take two packets
and mix just enough water to make a paste. I then rub the
paste over my wooden cutting board and let it sit for about ˝
hour. I then rinse the paste off with hot water. Now my
wooden cutting board smells better and looks cleaner! I
actually found this out by mistake, but now I clean my cutting board
like this frequently. I also use it on a machine washable
cutting board. I just place the paste on the board, and then
put it in the dishwasher.”
Margaret
Wright
“I go to Curves® and
drink the Curves® shakes sometimes. I put 2 packages of True
Lemon™ and Splenda® with fat free milk, with the Curves® shake
mixture. I just put it in my blender and mix well,
then put in refrigerator for about 45 minutes. It is so good
and refreshing on these hot days in Florida!”
Marsha, Tampa,
FL.
"If you are
watching your weight, try this: Instead of butter or sour
cream on a hot baked potato, sprinkle with True Lemon™ and top with chives and fresh
ground pepper!"
Pam,
Milwaukee, WI
