July 4th Recipe Contest Winner & Honorable Mentions

Tagged in: True That

blog_recipesWe wanted to let you know that we have selected the Grand Prize winner and the four Honorable Mentions for our July 4th Recipe Contest.

Before we let you know who the winner is, we’d like to say thank you!  We had over 200 recipe submissions and we really appreciate everyone who took the time to enter. Our team made many of the recipes and the competition was stiff.

In the end we selected the five recipes that we felt had a combination of having wide appeal, interest, were easy to make without being too easy, used True products in a way that was integral to the recipe and, of course, were really delicious.

Grand Prize Winner:

Kendel Mesch who submitted “Orzo Salad with Corn, Tomato and Basil". This salad is light, uses fresh ingredients and is so good all of us who made it didn’t have any left!

Honorable Mentions go to:

Jeanette Nelson who submitted “Spicy Citrus Shrimp with Siracha Sweet Chili Mayonnaise” . A savory fusion dish with a great blend of flavors.

Diana Burrinkwho submitted “Lime and Coconut Biscotti".Crunchy, sweet without being overtly so, and a great use of True Lime!

Jennifer Huey who submitted “Blueberry Orange Crumb Cake”. Two words: Yumm-mie! Kids loved it!

Angela McClure who submitted “Creamy True Lime Ocado Pie”. Surprisingly inventive and delicious, super creamy.
