SUPER FAN:
Mike Jones
It is our pleasure to introduce you to Mike Jones of Baltimore, MD.
An avid cook, Mike uses True Lemon® and True Lime™ to cook with all of the time. “For chicken (Cornish hens as an example), I like to use both the lemon and lime shakers in a rub with some type of smoky mesquite or chipotle seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic salt and whatever else I feel in the mood for.”

When It Comes to Health and Nutrition, Read Between the Lines, by Cindy Heroux, RD
Headlines are designed to grab your attention, but they can often be misleading, especially if you don’t take the time to read the fine print. This is especially true when it comes to stories about health and nutrition.
In recent months there have been a lot of confusing headlines: “Too Much Water Can Kill You,” “Eating Less Fat Doesn’t Protect Against Heart Disease,” “Calcium Fails to Keep Bones Strong, But Causes Kidney Stones.” These statements are so contrary to what most people believe that they create lots of excitement and controversy. But are they accurate? That depends…

Consumers Are Smart!, by Marlo Mittler, RD
While my job as a Dietitian is to disseminate nutrition information to my clients, I have found that my role needs to go way beyond the food facts. The truth is that today's consumers must really stay on their toes to outsmart the food companies, the restaurants, etc.
Take a closer look: Have you eaten out lately? Let me guess: you went to a restaurant that serves delicious bread, which of course they are so kind to refill each time you grab the last piece. Was I there also? No, I just know their motives. Let me share. Bread is made of carbohydrates and when digested these carbohydrates stimulate appetite and make you hungrier. The more you eat, the hungrier you will get, the more you will order, the more money they make. Pretty sneaky, huh? Next time, don’t dive in, order you meal, ask for a salad and skip the bread basket! Saves you calories and money!

How do you use True Lemon® or True Lime™?
“What a wonderful product. My husband is very picky about lemonade. I made him a glass of True Lemon®-ade and he thought I bought fresh lemons and made fresh lemonade. Boy, was he surprised. I was also! He still can’t believe it came from a True Lemon® packet. It tastes so much like the real thing, that I can use it on fish also. Thank you so much.”
Carol C., Sapulpa, OK
“I am a user of True Lemon® and love it. I take it to restaurants to use to flavor my water. I don’t like the lemon wedges they put in the water as it has a musty taste and smell. I meet with my friends for lunch a couple of times a week and we all take out our little packets of True Lemon® to put in our water glasses.”
Joan P., Elizabeth City, NC
“I used the juice of one lemon in a glass of water each morning to keep my digestive system “regular.” I tried 2 packets of True Lemon® and it tastes just like fresh lemon juice has been added.”
C. S., Bedford, TX
“My friend and I participate karaoke on the weekends. We’ve found that True Lemon® or True Lime™ added to water or iced tea is great for keeping the throat and voice clear!”
Kathy H., Harrisonburg, VA
“My husband likes a really strong lemon taste in his pie and lemon cookie bars. Adding True Lemon® packets to taste really does the trick without making the filling too runny by using extra lemon juice, which is what I had to do before True Lemon®. Also, I recently got a sinus infection and was using Alka-Seltzer Sinus Cold tablets and found that adding a package of either True Lemon® or True Lime™ makes it better tasting to ‘take your medicine’ so to speak.”
Iris V., Atwater, OH
