Are You Ready For Summer?
Three months have now gone by and we are still seeing that many of you are sticking with the Healthy Challenge. (We have almost 600 people participating!) Of course most of us participating in the Healthy Challenge have had ups and downs, as people do when they are trying to eat healthier and exercise, but overall everyone sounds like they have been doing a great job. We love to hear the success stories people are sharing with us and thank you again for being a part of our Healthy Challenge.
Jill Fleming, MS, RD, motivational speaker and author of the book Thin People Don't Clean Their Plates: Simple Lifestyle Choices for Permanent Weight Loss says, "True Lemon is the best product I have found to help anyone who wants to lose weight. As a weight loss expert, I know that you can't lose body fat if you are not drinking enough water. True Lemon adds flavor without calories, artificial sweeteners or chemicals. Because of True Lemon, drinking water is now easy and enjoyable."
In addition to our three healthy habits – drinking more water, eating more fruits and vegetables, and exercising for at least 20 minutes, 3 times a week – the next healthy habit that Jill has suggested is monitoring your pattern of eating. Jill says, “For weight loss and optimal health, you should eat five small meals or snacks throughout the day. It helps to think of 3 meals plus an a.m. and a p.m. snack daily.” To read more about maintaining your pattern of eating, click here. If you mention True Lemon® with any book order on the order page, you will receive a free Daily Optimal Health Wheel!

SUPER FANS:
Michael and Mary Lu Harding
We first heard from Mary Lu Harding when she wrote to us about how True Lemon® helped her husband’s health problem. “My husband Michael has a history of kidney stones, which are excruciatingly painful. His doctor suggested that he switch from colas to lemonade. He told him that citrate (which is found in lemons) displaces calcium oxalate in the body (calcium oxalate is what causes kidney stones), and consuming citrate could help by neutralizing the calcium. So my husband started drinking lemonade, and sure enough, the bouts of stones have stopped. However, commercial lemonade is also loaded with sugar (even more sugar than many colas). Now he dilutes the lemonade 3:1 and to keep it from tasting like water, he adds packets of True Lemon®, which boosts both the taste and citrate level. He uses about 10 packets a day!”

HEALTH TIP:
March is National Nutrition Month®!
The American Dietetic Association (ADA) annually sponsors National Nutrition Month®, an education and information campaign about nutrition. It is designed to inform the public of healthy food choices and eating habits, as well as increasing physical activity.
“Step Up to Good Nutrition and Health” is the theme of the year’s National Nutrition Month® in accordance with last year’s new Dietary Guidelines pyramid. The key messages the ADA would like you to keep in mind this month and all year long are:
- The food and activity choices you make today will effect how you feel now and in the future.
- Eat smart from every food group.
- Get the maximum nutrition out of your consumed calories.
- Find your balance between what you eat and how you exercise.
- Prepare, handle and store your food properly to keep yourself and family safe.

How do you use True Lemon® or True Lime™?
“My daughter married into a Mexican family that owns a restaurant. At home she still cooks authentic Mexican food. She uses the True Lime™ and True Lemon® in any dishes that call for fresh lime or lemon - even in fresh pico de gallo and it tastes great! You can't even tell it isn't fresh lemon or lime. I put True Lemon® in Diet Coke too; it gives it a great new flavor.”
Narita R.
“I use 2 packets of True Lemon® in 8 oz. of hot water as a cleansing drink. I drink this once in the morning and once in the evening.”
Annie D.,
Jerome, ID
“The local movie theaters sell only one brand of diet cola; not the one I prefer. In order to make the diet drink palatable I add a packet of True Lime™. I need to have the diet cola to go with the popcorn of course.”
Becky B.,
Yakima, WA
“To really pull the flavor out I use 1 packet of True Lemon® in a glass of ice. Then I add Stevia, a non calorie supplement. It makes a sweetened glass of lemonade without sugar or calories. You can go into a restaurant, get a glass of water and then make your own lemonade!”
Geraldine F.,
Narvon, PA
