Meet Angela Taylor, our September Super Fan

This months’ True Lemon Super Fan is an individual with persistence, perseverance, and a lot of moxie.  When Angela Taylor, of Hampton, Virginia, learned of True Lemon from a local advertisement, she was determined to locate it at her neighborhood supermarket.  Making her way through store after store, Angela sought after the sunny yellow boxes of crystallized lemon through jungles of box-top aisles and canned-good ways.  She always kept her eye on the prize, determined never to give up.  And, after tracking through six different markets, she headed for the internet to discover the True Lemon website, which led her to her local Food Lion where she finally discovered her True Lemon source.

Angela, who says, “I almost gave up looking,” now claims to be one True Lemon’s biggest fans.  “I use True Lemon [daily] in my drinking water, and cook with it whenever I can.”  She loves to mix the tangy little crystals into yogurt, and has even incorporated it into her favorite blueberry muffin recipe adding a little extra zest.

Angela and her husband Lloyd, along with their two children, a daughter 19 and a son who is 16, typify the American family.  They love to visit family or just stay at home to enjoy a good video and some popcorn.  And, at the Taylor home, family dinner is one the most important events of the day.  One of their favorite dishes is a baked chicken that Angela makes with True Lemon.

“I first rub canola oil on the chicken breast and then season it with garlic, black pepper, and a couple of packets of True Lemon.  After adding two cups of chicken broth to the pan, I cover it with foil, let it cook until done and then brown it for the last few minutes.”

Finding new ways to use True Lemon, Angela enjoys blending it into a healthy breakfast treat creating smoothies with banana’s, strawberries, and soy.  “My husband says that I ought to by stock in the business because I use it so much.”

As a special education instructor for high school students, Angela has utilized her teaching skills on the road by promoting True Lemon to everyone around her.  “When I first started using True Lemon, I just bought extra boxes and gave it away to lots of people,” she says.  She even promoted it at a restaurant in North Carolina and gave the waitress the website so she could check it out for herself.
