Barbara Wood – Stay-at-home Mother, Super Fan and Super Grand Brands Employee!

Stay-at-home moms, unite — and cheer for our May Super Fan Barbara Wood of Baltimore, Maryland! As the mother of two children, Barbara values the time she has with her son Ben, age nine, and daughter Hannah, age seven. Along with her husband Glen, who is in sales at EMC Corporation, Barbara has chosen to make family time a priority in her life. But Barbara also wears another hat – when you email True Lemon® with your comments, questions, and recipes, Barbara is generally on the receiving end of that email. Yes, Barbara is not only a True Lemon® Fan, but she is also a True Lemon® employee.

Barbara has been working for True Lemon® from her home for over a year-and-a-half. Barbara originally tested recipes that substituted True Lemon® for fresh lemon juice. A little over a year ago, Barbara started answering customer emails and now answers over 1,200 emails a month. “The Grand Brands team is so committed to our customers that I try to answer every email within 24 hours.” Not only does she receive mail from True Lemon® and True Lime™ fans throughout the United States, but she has also heard from fans located in Canada, France, Italy, and the U.K.

Barbara says that most people write about how much they like True Lemon® and True Lime™. “It’s amazing to me how many people write us just to say how much they love our products. We all are so busy now-a-days. For someone to take the time to contact a company to simply say that he or she appreciates the product so much is really remarkable and a testament to what great products True Lemon® and True Lime™ are.”

When she’s not with her children or answering customer emails, both Barbara and her husband also exercise a lot. On any given day, one can see one or the other out early in the morning power walking around their community. Mountain biking and swimming are also incorporated into their family lifestyle and enjoyed by their children as well.

With all that exercise, Barbara has learned that keeping hydrated is very important and makes sure that she and her family drink plenty of water throughout the day. And, Barbara always uses True Lemon® to enhance the taste of her water in order to eliminate some of the bitterness that can come from tap water. “I didn’t mind drinking water before,” says Barbara. “But now that I add True Lemon® to it, I drink much more during the course of the day.” She also always keeps spare packages in her purse so that she has it on hand when she’s out of the house or dining in a restaurant.

And if it was up to Barbara, she would much prefer to dine in a restaurant. “While I make dinner almost every night, I have to confess I don’t like to cook and so I’m not fancy at all. But I have found that True Lemon® has made a real difference in the foods I eat and what I serve to my family.”

In addition to using True Lemon® on food and in water, Barbara and her husband also are big fans of True Lime™. They love to use it to enhance the flavor of various drinks and especially enjoy how it perks up an occasional Corona. (Barbara cautions that when pouring True Lime™ into a Corona you should take a sip first, then pour a small amount of True Lime™ into the bottle, let it fizz, and then after it fizzes, pour the rest of the packet into the beer.)
