The first day of summer is just around the corner, and we can’t wait! Try not to be worried about ‘swimsuit season’ and showing more skin, and instead get excited for the new opportunities to exercise outdoors, and incorporate bright seasonal fruits and vegetables into your diet.
Here are some of our favorite ways to prepare for the best summer of your life!
Reassess your New Year’s resolutions.
It’s the halfway point to the New Year, gang! It’s never too late to restart your efforts. Since the warmer weather is a great motivator for new workout routines and diet changes, it’s the perfect time to begin the True You Challenge to get back on track!
Invest some extra time in yourself.
Schedules can get packed pretty quickly during the summertime. It seems there’s an endless amount of BBQ’s, festivals, concerts, vacations, and events to attend – and it can easily cause someone to neglect their ‘alone’ time. Practice being more mindful, and remember that it’s okay to take a day to relax and recharge your batteries.
Prepare your skin for the extra sunlight!
The best way to prevent wrinkles and skin damage is to drink plenty of water, and slather on that sunscreen. Now that the sun will be out more often, it’s important to protect your largest organ!
Up your fluid intake.
Warmer temperatures equals more sweat. There is a constant need to keep replenishing your fluids, but it’s increased even more at this time of year! There are plenty of benefits to drinking a lot of water every day, and True Citrus products will help increase the desire to keep on sipping.
Try some new healthy (seasonal) recipes!
We love seeing the new varieties of brightly colored and delicious fruits and vegetables this time of year. Try some new recipes to spice up your weekly menu, such as:
Savory Melon Salad
True Lemon & True Lime Sangria
Light & Fresh Salad
True You Body Bowl with True Lime Spicy Peanut Sauce
Acai Rainbow Bowl
True Lemon Pepper Zucchini Patties
Skillet Corn on the Cob with Parmesan and True Lime Garlic and Cilantro
Get creative with your summer workouts.
Try changing up your exercise routine with something new. Get out of the gym, and into the great outdoors! Summer is a great time to enjoy your favorite activities, and get in some additional exercise as well.
Now that you’re armed with these tips, you’ll be ready to enjoy the healthiest and happiest summer of your life!
