This tangy rub will make your grilled steaks a family favorite.
6 to 10 oz. sirloin steak (or your favorite cut)
3 packets True Lemon or True Lime
1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/4 teaspoon dark brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1/2 tablespoon of the rub
- First prepare the rub: thoroughly mix all dry ingredients in a shaker bottle (store unused rub in an airtight container).
- Generously coat steaks with rub and let stand for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill steaks to preference and serve.
- For the sauce, melt the stick of butter and blend in 1/2 tablespoon of the rub.
This recipe is also good on chops, chicken, or hearty fish like salmon. Real fans of spice may add 1/8 teaspoon jalapeno powder or chipotle powder.
