Cucumbers in True Lemon Cream Sauce

A perfect summery side dish!


1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Black pepper
6 packets True Lemon
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon dried chives
4 cucumbers (English is best), sliced thin
Fresh mint leaves, as garnish (optional)

  1. Whisk together all ingredients except cucumbers and mint.
  2. Place cucumbers in 9 x 12 inch dish, and pour cream sauce over cucumbers.
  3. Chill for 1 hour, or until serving. Garnish with fresh mint, if desired.

English cucumbers are great because the outer skin is thinner, and has a milder taste. If using traditional cucumbers, peel them before slicing.
