True Lemon Maryland Crab Cakes

True Lemon Maryland crab cakes with a salad

True Lemon was born in Baltimore, so it’s only natural that we’d love this classic recipe!


1 pound lump crab meat, fresh or canned
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon dried parsley (or 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley)
1 egg
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon brown mustard
1 packet True Lemon
1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning (depending on how spicy you want it)

  1. In a bowl gently combine crab meat, bread crumbs, and parsley.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix egg with the remaining ingredients.
  3. Carefully combine the two bowls and blend together so that the mixture can be packed into crab cakes. Try not to break-up the crab meat to much when mixing.
  4. Broil the crab cakes for 10-minutes on each side, or fry in oil on the stove for about 5-minutes each side.

Serve with a side of cocktail or tarter sauce.
