The Secret Life of True Lemon

Are all lemons created equal? Not a chance. Just like any other fruit or vegetable, they vary between the tasteless, boring ones you often find off-season in your favorite grocery store's produce section to the fresh, juicy lemons found in-season or at farm stands. There are also different varieties of lemons, just like apples or grapes, each with a different taste.

True Lemon's fresh taste

In fact, most lemons are a little jealous of what we're doing at True Lemon!

And so why is True Lemon the most envied lemon on the block? Because we don't cut corners in bringing you the freshest lemon taste of all.

It's a pretty complicated recipe but we do it so you can enjoy the taste of fresh-picked-right-from-the-grove lemon taste, any day of the year!

The True Lemon difference

So why is our recipe so different from others?

First, most lemon and lemonade mixes are artificial: blends of chemicals and artificial ingredients which don't belong in your pure water or tea. If you've read the list of ingredients on some of these products, they can be long and a little scary. (Click here to view a comparison chart of True Lemon and other lemon products.)

Most real lemon juices and other products are heat processed, losing lots of their flavor. Bottled lemonade is a big compromise. Some add artificial preservatives, which keep them from spoiling but not from losing their flavor. (The fresh flavor of lemon juice only lasts about a day. After that the acid breaks down that great flavor and you end up with a blah or sour flavor.) Our secret recipe, the use of cold-pressed oils and juices, and our great ingredients protect our delicate lemon from losing its flavor.

So now you know our True Lemon secret (or at least part of it)!

We really appreciate having you as our customers and fans, and we love making the best products we can and hearing how much you enjoy them. (And we're always working to get better so look for more improvements as we move forward!)
