I was raised in a fairly large family that immigrated to the US at the height of WW II. Our Syrian/Lebanese background is a culture that uses lots of lemon in our foods, and as folks today know, Mediterranean cuisine is pretty healthy eating. I love cooking both Middle Eastern and Chilean foods for my family and friends. I have over 60 nephews & nieces (2 generations) and they love my hummus and lemon biscotti, also my guacamole sprinkled with extra True Lime. My favorite room in the house is the kitchen, it recalls memories of my mother cooking and baking for her large family. The smells of certain foods, spices, etc. The fresh scent of lemon is especially a strong memory. Whenever I zest a lemon or now having discovered True Lemon, when I tear open a packet, the scent is wonderful and I think of mom again.
