True Asian Slaw

This Asian slaw is a crunchy and refreshing recipe, and an excellent compliment to teriyaki chicken.


1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 packet True Lime
1 packet True Lemon
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups red or white cabbage (or a combination), thinly sliced
2 cups carrots, grated
1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)
Fresh cilantro, as garnish

  1. Combine first 10 ingredients (mayo through black pepper) in a small bowl. Whisk and set aside.
  2. Combine cabbage and carrot in large bowl. Add mayo mixture and toss well.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Top with sesame seeds (optional), and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Serves 6.
