This Asian slaw is a crunchy and refreshing recipe, and an excellent compliment to teriyaki chicken.
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 packet True Lime
1 packet True Lemon
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups red or white cabbage (or a combination), thinly sliced
2 cups carrots, grated
1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)
Fresh cilantro, as garnish
- Combine first 10 ingredients (mayo through black pepper) in a small bowl. Whisk and set aside.
- Combine cabbage and carrot in large bowl. Add mayo mixture and toss well.
- Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Top with sesame seeds (optional), and garnish with fresh cilantro.
