The Best Winter Weather Drink Recipes

There is nothing more comforting than a warm drink on a chilly day. It's the time of year for hot chocolate and staying indoors to curl up under a blanket with a good book. We absolutely love it!
If you're trying to cut back on sugar but also enjoy the satisfaction of a steamy beverage, we've got some great ideas. Here are our favorite winter drink recipes to warm you right up!
Our Favorite Warming Winter Drink Recipes
Matcha Tea
There are many health benefits that come from incorporating more tea in your diet, and Matcha Tea is a unique way to enjoy it. Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea, and literally translates to powdered tea. Try it with a packet of True Lemon for an extra boost of antioxidants and flavor!
True Citrus Tea with Hibiscus and Goji Berries
If you can't find dried hibiscus flowers that's okay - this recipe will be delicious without it. Combine 2 tbsp dried goji berries (from a local health food store), 2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers (optional), 1 tbsp agave nectar, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 packet True Lemon, and 1 packet True Orange, with 1 quart of boiling water. Let steep for 15-30 minutes. Serve hot, and refrigerate any leftovers.
Orange Ginger Spiced Cider
Apple cider is one of our favorite drinks of the season, but we love to spice things up. Try adding some True Orange Ginger the next time you're warming up that cider. It'll add some zesty warmth to this seasonal drink.
Mayan Hot Chocolate
Sometimes adding just a few extra ingredients to a drink can turn your usual routine into something fun and exciting. Combine 3 tbsp of unsweetened cacao with 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp honey, and a pinch of both cayenne and cinnamon. Not only is it delicious, but it's also low in sugar and full of anti-inflammatory spices. Can't beat that!
